PARKing Day

PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event in which artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.

This year, in support of PARK(ing) Day, we teamed up with friends and neighbors to activate multiple spaces in Makers Quarter™. Parking spots were transformed into public parklets, shared work spaces and art instillations. With so many people throughout San Diego and the world participating in PARK(ing) Day, we achieved our goal of calling attention to the need for more urban open space.

If you’d like to check out some of the fun from the day, take a look at our Facebook page ( and feel free to share any of your Park(ing) day experiences with us!

The event was straight up AWESOME and we can’t wait to see how things grow next year!
